The Bankia Chair in Financial and Fiscal Studies was created in April 2006 with the aim of developing research and training activities in the financial and fiscal field and to propose solutions for problems that are posed in this sphere by society and businesses.
From the outset, the Chair aims to:
- Serve as a meeting point between businesses, institutions and professionals to reflect on financial and fiscal systems and to look for alternatives that may be put forward to central and regional governments.
- Research topics to propose solutions for specific problems.
- Develop dissemination and training activities.
On the other hand, the Chair aims to assess the impact of governmental decisions on the financial sector based on transparency, justice and fairness criteria, which is ultimately what the tax system intends to do.
