Professor Adam Dubin returns to China to teach a class at the Chinese University of Politics and Law

Adam Dubin, a Professor in the Faculty of Law (Comillas ICADE) has taught a class on Human Rights at the Chinese University of Politics and Law, one of the best law schools in the country, which seeks to train students to enter positions as Senior Civil Servants of the State, Prosecutors and Judges. During his classes, Dubin presented knowledge on Human Rights to students, with a focus on mechanisms to protect vulnerable groups such as LGBT people, people with disabilities and victims of torture.

"Teaching in China is a great opportunity for me to present students with a subject that they do not usually learn in their regular classes and to offer them tools so that, in their future professional careers, they can improve the system of protection of Human Rights".

In addition to his time at the University, the chapter “Rights to Be Treated Well and the Protection of Children from Victimization: Recent Advances in Pro-Child Policies in Spain”, that Dubin and Professor Clara Martinez wrote for a book on Victimology, published in India by Lexis Nexus, has been translated and published in a magazine in China. The chapter has been published as an article in the magazine Issues on Juvenile Crimes and Delinquency, a Chinese publication. "When a Chinese professor wrote to us, asking for the rights to translate it, it seemed like a good idea to give permission, above all, in the hope that it would help foster more dialogue on children's rights and contribute to new policies to favor children in China.
